Your information
Privacy, in plain English.
This notice explains what Kapture collects through this website, why we use it, who helps us process it and the choices you have.
Who is responsible
Kapture is the data controller for personal information submitted directly through thekapture.com. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@thekapture.com.
This notice does not govern websites you visit through portfolio or ecosystem links. Those organisations publish their own notices.
What we collect
- Identity and contact details, such as your name, email, phone number, country and preferred contact method.
- Business and project information you include in a project brief, Blueprint request or content-plan request.
- Your selected service, indicative budget, timing, creative preferences and portfolio inspiration.
- Basic request and security information processed by our host, such as IP address, browser details, timestamps and server logs.
- Booking information you choose to submit through the linked Wix booking service.
Do not send passwords, payment-card details, confidential health information or other highly sensitive information through our forms.
How and why we use it
- To review your request, recommend an appropriate service and respond to you.
- To take steps you request before entering a project agreement and to deliver an agreed project.
- To send a confirmation of a successfully delivered brief.
- To protect the website, prevent abuse and diagnose technical problems.
- To meet legal, accounting and dispute-resolution obligations where they apply.
Depending on the context, our lawful basis is your consent, taking steps at your request before a contract, performing a contract, complying with law, or our legitimate interest in operating a secure and responsive studio. We do not use enquiry details for unrelated marketing unless you make a separate choice to receive it.
Browser storage and cookies
The guided project brief uses session storage in your browser so answers survive page movement and accidental refreshes. That draft remains on your device, is removed after a successful submission, and is normally cleared when the tab session ends. Kapture cannot read that draft until you submit it.
Kapture does not currently set advertising or analytics cookies on thekapture.com. Our hosting and security providers may process essential technical identifiers and logs needed to deliver and protect the site.
Who processes information
We use service providers only where needed to operate the website and respond to requests. These currently include Vercel for website hosting and server functions; Resend for transactional email when email delivery is activated; and Wix when you choose the external discovery-call booking service. An email provider used by you or Kapture will also process messages in transit and storage.
Some providers may process information in countries outside the UK. Where international-transfer rules apply, we rely on the provider's recognised safeguards and contractual protections.
How long we keep it
Unsuccessful browser drafts remain on your device only as described above. General enquiries and proposals are reviewed periodically and are normally deleted or anonymised within 24 months if they do not become a client relationship. If a project proceeds, relevant project, contract and transaction records may be retained longer where needed to deliver the work, protect legal rights or meet tax and accounting duties.
Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable data-protection law, you may ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a portable copy. Where processing depends on consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful use.
Email hello@thekapture.com with enough detail for us to identify and respond to your request. We may need to verify your identity. If you are in the UK and remain dissatisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Security and changes
We use proportionate technical and organisational controls, including encrypted connections, restricted provider access, input validation and server-side email delivery. No internet service can promise absolute security.
We may update this notice as the Kapture ecosystem and its systems change. The effective date at the top will show the latest published version.
Email hello@thekapture.com and put “Privacy” in the subject line.
