1. Who we are
Kapture is the trading name of Kapture Communications Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17160990), registered office Nottingham, United Kingdom. We are the controller of the personal data described here, for thekapture.com and the Kapture Akademy.
Questions about privacy go to studio@thekapture.com. We have not appointed a data protection officer; Rodney Manyepa, our founder, is responsible for data protection.
Kapture Studio (studio.thekapture.com) and kurongeka.com have their own notices for what they collect.
2. What we collect
- Enquiries and project briefs: your name, email, phone, organisation, what you need, your budget and timing, and any files or links you send.
- Your account: name, email and profile details. Wix handles your password; we never see it.
- Purchases and bookings: what you buy or book, prices, dates, delivery address for physical items, and payment confirmations. We do not see or store your card details.
- Event tickets: the names and emails of ticket holders, and any access or dietary needs you tell us about.
- Akademy courses: which programmes you join, your progress, quiz answers and completions.
- Community: what you post in groups.
- Use of the site: pages visited, device and browser type and approximate location, through Google Analytics only if you accept analytics cookies, and Wix’s own security and performance logs.
- Photographs and film taken at our events (see our ticket terms).
We do not ask for special category data such as health or religion. If you tell us about an access need, we use it only to meet that need.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have weighed them against your rights; ask us for the details. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what we did before.
We make no decisions about you by automated means alone.
5. International transfers
Some providers process data outside the UK. We transfer it only where the UK recognises the country as adequate (Israel and the European Economic Area), where the US provider is certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or under the ICO’s International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses. Ask us for a copy of the safeguard.

7. Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. You can object to direct marketing at any time, and we will stop. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it.
Email studio@thekapture.com. We reply within one month and do not charge, unless a request is clearly unfounded or excessive. We may ask you to confirm who you are.
8. Complaints
Please tell us first, at studio@thekapture.com, and we will try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, 0303 123 1113, or Information Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF.
